CACTUS

CACTUS was officially founded in 1966 on the belief that a college education should extend beyond the classroom. The Community Action Council of Tulane University Students is the oldest and largest student-led community service organization in the country. CACTUS takes on major challenges in New Orleans by providing community assistance to a wide variety of individuals and organizations by way of its subsidiary organizations.

As Tulane’s service council, we are the umbrella organization for over forty different service organizations and projects. No matter your interests, you are sure to find a service organization that meshes with your passions; if not, you can start your own! By giving, we receive. We highly encourage all Tulane students to check us out and get involved.
